Welcome to Amanda's Safari,
Hope you enjoy the animal kingdom that is offered by a true safari-loving South African
Was very pleased with my first ever tutespark, as it reminds me of a room full of animals, more specifically monkeys as everyone is curious and can't sit still in their seats from the excitement that has grabbed them by sitting in front of, what seems to be, brand new MAC's.
This first post has nothing to do with animals, rather technology. How do we distinguish between old and new communication technologies? Under what circumstances will new communication technologies become old communication technologies?
What first pops into my head when thinking of old communication technologies is the radio, or even before then, cave drawing which were the early ways of communicating. Then to the first words that were written, stories that were told from one to another. Perhaps we could also even consider TV, when it was first introduced, as an old communication technology. If we from then switch to new communication technologies, it is clear that the mobile such as the iPhone is a new communication technology. Computers or Mac's, online forums or plain and simple the internet.
How new communication technologies will become old ones is perhaps by something new being replaced by something even more recent. Now that the new iPhone is out, everyone is ditching their old iPhones for the newest and improved version. In the future, we might be all talking to a hologram that comes out of our watch... who knows! The first mobile phone was a big, fat brick with huge buttons on it and now look at all the slim, tiny mobiles with touch screens that are available. Everything progresses and changes, to perhaps what I consider a more lazy communication device for humans to take advantage of. There is no need for face-to-face communication, nowadays people just text their news or write to their friends on facebook what is going on, everything is becoming lazy and technical.
Till next time, roar from Amanda
